Torque limiter (also known as torque limiter, safety coupling and safety clutch) is a component that connects the driving machine and the working machine. Its main function is overload protection. When the required torque exceeds the set value due to overload or mechanical failure, the torque limiter limits the torque transmitted by the transmission system in the form of slipping. When the overload situation disappears, it automatically restores the connection. In this way, the mechanical damage is prevented and the expensive shutdown loss is avoided. The torque limiter adopts spring-loaded friction surface. Adjust the spring force with nut or bolt and preset the sliding torque. According to the working principle, it can be divided into friction type torque limiter and steel ball type torque limiter (ball type torque limiter).
